“State control” is a term that gets thrown around a lot today.

Don’t get me wrong (or right), it’s important, it should be a buzzword, but I don’t like that second word of the term: control.

It implies that having control is possible, which it’s not.

That there might be that ROOT that all the issues with women guys have…believing they can control what’s going to happen, ’cause I got news for you hillbilly: You can’t.

But here’s what happens a lot:

Guy believes “control” (of his state or anything else for that matter) is something he should be working towards.

He never fully gets there.

He gets deterred, one thing leads to another and before you know it, he’s back home again, alone, on a Friday night putting himself down for failing.

Shenanigans. Seriously, if that’s you, I want you to laugh right now at how silly you’ve been.

You do not have complete control, you never had complete control and you never will have complete control.

Accept this one truth, and all of the sudden, a whole new world of opportunities opens up for you, because once you realize how little control you actually have…

…outcomes become like politics to you: they matter very little.

You understand where your focus should be (the process) and where it’s not going to be anymore (the outcome), and as I tell my buddies all the time, the outcome will ALWAYS take care of itself when you truly give all you’ve got to the moment, the process, the interaction.

So yes, “state control” is something you should be working towards but you’ll ever have complete, 100% control of your state all the time. Do your best, and if you ever feel like you’re truly losing control, JUST STOP.

Take a step back, relax, do a little breathing and just meditate on the whatever silly scenario you just made up in your head. By doing that, you’ll be focusing on the process like a good DateHotter dude should, and without even realizing it, INFLUENCING your state.
